I did multiple drawings for this project because I was rushing with time and I didn't have time to spend adding large amounts of details. The first two are horses I drew in pen. It was fun doing the face and small detailed areas because I know how to shade the smaller areas with pen. The hardest part about those pieces was shading the larger areas with little detail. I knew I couldn't just hatch or crosshatch the whole shoulder for example, so I had to figure out what else to do to give it depth and look like the horses had muscles.
The rabbit I did was in graphite pencils. The rabbit's face is turned towards you, that's why you can't see his eyes on the side of his face. I made the light source coming from the left, so I had to make the lights bright on the left side of the rabbit and make shadows on the right side of the rabbit including the ears, face, and legs.i struggled with the grass the rabbit was sitting in, I need to add more contrast in he different blades of grass to give them more definition.
