This is one of my favorite drawings I've done. It is another of my concentration pieces. It is a Black and Tan Coonhound in Prismacolor colored pencils. I chose to draw this because of the photo composition. The lighting is coming directly from the right, casting a harsh shadow on the left side of the dog's face. I will admit I do need darker shadows in the dark areas, but it still has a pretty good shine effect and shadowing on it. I love the look on the dog's face because people could use many different words to describe what they think the dog is thinking about, and that's exactly how I wanted it to be.
